A little something extra to warm you up for “Avengers Doomsday.”

I’m 100% certain that “Avengers Endgame” crossed the $2 billion mark at the box office in 2019, because of a re-release that featured an unfinished deleted scene with Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk and a clip opening “Spider-Man: Far From Home.” As much as I loved that sequel, I would still consider that cheating.

However, there’s a lot of talk about the upcoming “Avengers Doomsday” with Robert Downey, Jr. (Tony Stark A.K.A. Iron Man) playing Doctor Doom, and that’s why the 2019 hit has been re-released as “Avengers Endgame Encore.” Here’s what’s more different about this version than that little cheater.

The ending with Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) dancing with his wife Peggy (Hayley Atwell) is interrupted by the arrival of Loki (Tom Hiddleston), who now works at the TVA. While Steve is hiding, she asks Loki if she can help him, but he says: “No, but I can help you.”

And we also have three post credit scenes, whether moviegoers like them or not.

One has Bruce Banner (remember that’s Ruffalo’s Hulk) in a military complex, following himself having his mind hacked by Jean Grey in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” Filming himself, he says his development of a cure is on a promising course, until Doctor Doom comes in.

The second has the TVA agents Mobius (Owen Wilson) and O.B. (Ke Huy Quan) both finding out that the multiverse is about to collapse. I believe this clip is only shown in some formats like IMAX and Dolby. But don’t worry. Miss Minutes (voiced Tara Strong) is still here, y’all.

And the third takes place at the very end of the credits with what sounds like Tony Stark building his Iron Man suit with the clanging. We’ve heard that before, but not with quick shots of Doctor Doom. That’s when the audience gasps and reacts once the screen goes blank after that.

Let’s think back to “Beauty and the Beast” when it was released in IMAX with the new song “Human Again,” which was added because of how successful it was on Broadway.” And let’s think back with the same deal with “The Lion King” having Zazu sing “The Morning Report.” And seeing these new clips being added is a fresh way to warm Marvel fans up for “Doomsday” without it feeling tedious or outdated.
