This sequel isn’t much of a fighter. “Karate Kid: Legends” combines both Ralph Macchio’s fighter Daniel LaRusso with Jackie Chan’s trainer Mr. Han. Now, it’s interesting that both versions take place in […]

Bad Shabbos
A Jewish comedy that breaks a lot of Shabbat rules. “Bad Shabbos” is the second independent film I saw this year to deal with an unexpected death after the British dark comedy […]
Fountain of Youth
I’m not getting any younger here. I think Guy Ritchie’s new movie “Fountain of Youth” has been reading too many Dan Brown novels and watching his movies (particularly “The Da Vinci Code”), […]
Mission: Impossible, Lilo & Stitch, Jane Austen Wrecked My Life, Hurry Up Tomorrow, and The Last Rodeo Podcast Reviews
CJ reviews movies that fly, surf, romance, sing, and ride bulls on the air. I’m part of a radio station known as NEWHD Radio, which not only hires people on the Autism […]
Lilo & Stitch (2025)
This remake is little and broken, but still good. Yeah. Still good. I basically had the same reaction towards the live action remake of “Lilo & Stitch,” as I had with “The […]
The Last Rodeo
A good-hearted, but familiar and soapy drama that gets the horns. “The Last Rodeo” has its heart in the right place regarding family and fame, and how life tries to find the […]
Nora
Anna Campbell should give the screenplay more lyrics. “Nora” is a really small movie that has a much better character study and consistency than what The Weeknd provided for us in “Hurry […]
Mission: Impossible-The Final Reckoning
A fun, but overlong MI conclusion. That is if it is the last entry. If you recall the first part of “Mission: Impossible-Dead Reckoning,” Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt had to stop the […]
Jane Austen Wrecked My Life
Like a real life Jane Austen story for this lonely writer. It was such fun for me to make some pretzel candies, while watching “Pride & Prejudice,” which has celebrated its 20th […]
Hurry Up Tomorrow
Don’t rush to this cinematic train wreck. Trey Edward Scults’ last movie “Waves” was a powerful film that showed us two siblings going through a crisis and trying to find their inner […]
