Number 3 is fast and entertaining for you and me. Reflecting on our earlier reactions to the first trailer for “Sonic the Hedgehog,” I’m sure we’re all appreciative that the franchise kept […]
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Mufasa: The Lion King
Hakuna Matata. This prequel is better than the last time. 30 years have passed and Disney’s 1994 animated musical “The Lion King” is still roaring strong with fans. And the loss of […]
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim
Not really my precious. “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” is the first theatrical animated LOTR movie since Ralph Bakshi’s take in 1978. Only it’s made by Japanese […]
The End
This apocalyptic musical doesn’t hit all the right notes. “The End” is a musical directed by Joshua Oppenheimer (“The Act of Killing,” “The Look of Silence”) and set after the end of […]
Flow
A magical animated movie without words, just animals and visuals. How would a black cat, a capybara, a yellow lab dog, a white secretary bird, and a lemur actually survive in a […]
Moana 2

Wicked
No one should mourn this Wicked. When Universal Pictures released its film version of the Broadway play of “Cats,” its creepy humanoid cats and bad CGI scared a number of people away, […]
The Penguin
A cold-blooded and riveting DC series. “The Penguin,” the new DC series on Max, takes place after the events of “The Batman,” and focuses on Oz Cobb A.K.A Penguin (Colin Farrell), who […]
