A short wonderful gem from Wes Anderson. It’s a miracle that Wes Anderson would adapt a Roald Dahl novel into a feature film. He turned “Fantastic Mr. Fox” into a wonderful stop-motion […]

Dumb Money
A fun view of the stock market during the COVID-19 pandemic. After my viewing of “Dumb Money,” I was getting into a conversation with a young woman about how congress and Wall […]
The Inventor
A charming stop-motion caricature of the Renaissance Man. Leonardo da Vinci has been known as the “Renaissance Man,” an engineer with drawings and ideas of brilliant inventions and strong curiosity that gave […]
El Conde

A Sandler family comedy that values traditions. Adam Sandler and Idina Menzel, who both had a critical success with “Uncut Gems” back in 2019, are together again in the new made-for-Netflix comedy […]
Landscape with Invisible Hand
Close Encounters of the Smart but Ugly Kind. Last week, I reviewed “Jules,” which was a dramedy with Ben Kingsley finding an alien that crash lands on his flowers. Even though it […]
Strays
A dog of a raunchy comedy. We’re in a time when raunchy comedies poke fun at children’s entertainment. There was the pot-smoking Teddy Bear in Seth MacFarlene’s “Ted,” the horny hotdogs in […]
