The first half of 2025 has meme trouble, money trouble, and star power.

You know what time it is? It’s time for me to commemorate on the best and worst movies I saw in 2025 so far, as well as a few other elements like the few shows I’ve watched and the celebrities I have met. Some of them you’ve probably never heard of before, but you will soon. And I actually thought “A Minecraft Movie” was a funny film, in a Mickey Rooney/Buddy Hackett sort of way. But I also didn’t think the “Chicken Jockey” scene would cause chaos in theaters nationwide. I’m a film critic, not a fortune teller. Maybe me describing the film as “harmless fun” was a bad choice of words.
