A family vacation turns into a nightmare in this smart remake. I watched the original Danish film “Speak No Evil” on YouTube before I saw the new American remake. It told the […]

Red Rooms
A good fashion sense in this murder trial. When I see the title for “Red Rooms,” I think of “REDRUM,” which every movie fan knows is “MURDER” spelled backwards. Thanks for that […]

CJ’s video reviews do all kinds of fighting. This week’s video reviews consist of Tim Burton’s long-awaited sequel “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” with Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder, the documentary “The Cowboy and the […]
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Cowboy and the Queen, Rebel Ridge, Front Room, and His Three Daughters Podcast Reviews

The Thicket
Peter Dinklage and Juliette Lewis own the screen as enemies in this gritty and chilly western. “The Thicket” is an independent western that reminds us about a lot of things. One is […]
The Front Room
Brandy has to deal with a real Monster-In-Law, and so do we. A few years ago, I enjoyed “I Care a Lot,” which starred Rosamund Pike as a conwoman who convinces the […]
His Three Daughters

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Almost as ghoulishly fun as the original. The rental video store I used to go to as a kid was called “Hollywood Video,” and when it was closing its doors, it was […]
The Cowboy and the Queen
Saddle up, your majesty. “The Cowboy and the Queen” was the Closing Night film at the Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF), and is also a terrific and emotional documentary about how Monty […]
