A western comedy that’s better with its ideas than its comedy and sidekicks. I’m sure not many people would see “Americana,” because it’s artisan western being released in the middle of August. […]

Nobody 2
A fun house of a violent sequel nobody should miss. Bob Odenkirk’s Hutch is probably somebody Mark Wahlberg’s family man assassin should have talked to before succumbing to the idiocy and cliches […]
The Pickup
A waste of time and money for these big talents. Eddie Murphy and Pete Davidson play two New Jersey armored truck drivers who are both assigned for a routine cash pickup. Murphy […]
Freakier Friday
Now, four women have swapped bodies, and yet, it’s more cheeky and fun than confusing. I rewatched the 2003 “Freaky Friday” the other day. The concept, based on Mary Rodgers’ book, featured […]
Sketch
When your imaginations run wild, you get this fun movie. I complimented on the visual effects and designs of the night fury Toothless in the live action “How to Train Your Dragon” […]
The Bad Guys 2
A “Bad Guys” sequel with the right kind of bad attitude. “The Bad Guys 2” may be something that parents were thinking about when they were forced to take their kids to […]
The Naked Gun (2025)

The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Finally, a Fantastic Four movie that’s actually fantastic. Other than the unreleased film from the 90s, I guess every decade in the 5 digits, we’re going to get a new “Fantastic Four” […]
Smurfs
This reboot will not blue you away. There have been three movie realities of the Smurfs where these three apples high blue creatures have sounded more like movie stars than Smurfs. In […]
Sovereign
Their law is their law. That’s what this movie acknowledges. For those of you who know the story of West Memphis police shootings in 2010, it has a tragic ending. The new […]
