A funny parody series of a Marvel supervillain on Hulu. I’m not too familiar with the Marvel supervillain M.O.D.O.K., who is a levitating engineer head with the acronym “Mental/Mobile/Mechanized Organism Designed Only […]
M.O.D.O.K.
Dream Horse
This thoroughbred racehorse movie from the U.K. gallops strong. When it comes to movies about training horses (“The Black Stallion,” “National Velvet,” “Seabiscuit,” “The Rider,” “The Mustang,” among others), there’s a strong […]
Riders of Justice
Mads Mikkelsen kills it as a man battling bad guys and his emotions. Fresh off his success with the Oscar-winning “Another Round,” Mads Mikkelsen has released a new movie out called “Riders […]
Here Today
Billy Crystal and Tiffany Haddish bring out emotions and humor in this hit & miss dramedy. In, “Here Today,” the first movie he directed since the TV movie “61*,” Billy Crystal writes […]

Thunder Force
This superhero comedy has weaknesses and it’s not Kryptonite. Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer are two of the best female talents in the entertainment industry, but they’re both woefully misused in “Thunder […]
Bad Trip
The title speaks for itself. About five minutes into “Bad Trip” tickled me, and that’s when Eric Andre’s mechanic suit gets sucked off by a vacuum cleaner, and he’s stripped naked. It […]
Yes Day
For the kids, yes, for everyone else, no. Take the raunchy comedy out of “Hall Pass,” and the Jim Carrey out of “Yes Day,” and add a bunch of millennials and frazzled […]
