A nice little holiday with our favorite British bear. A lot has changed for the Brown family. The bear Paddington (voiced by Ben Whishaw) finally has his passport which makes him a […]

Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Number 3 is fast and entertaining for you and me. Reflecting on our earlier reactions to the first trailer for “Sonic the Hedgehog,” I’m sure we’re all appreciative that the franchise kept […]
Mufasa: The Lion King
Hakuna Matata. This prequel is better than the last time. 30 years have passed and Disney’s 1994 animated musical “The Lion King” is still roaring strong with fans. And the loss of […]
Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl
A cracking throwback to “The Wrong Trousers.” Wallace & Gromit were among my childhood favorites. The cheese-loving inventor Wallace and his silent dog Gromit are created with eccentricity and Laurel & Hardy […]
Moana 2
This visually stunning and fun sequel needs to go a little farther. The original Disney film “Moana” was a delightful and magical film that gave people a Polynesian princess who shares the […]
Gladiator II
A decent sequel to an Oscar winning hit. Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator” won five Oscars for Best Picture, Best Actor (Russell Crowe), Best Costume Design, Best Sound, and Best Visual Effects. So, why […]
Venom: The Last Dance
Goodbye to the franchise that didn’t work to begin with. People who have followed my work through the years will know that I’m not a big fan of the “Venom” movies, especially […]
Smile 2
Hit me baby one more time with those evil smiles. “Smile” was a horror film that plays like “The Ring” and “Nightmare on Elm Street,” as a demon spreads its horror from […]
Joker: Folie a Deux
This musical-inspired sequel lacks the make-up of the first movie. The first “Joker” from 2019 gave Joaquin Phoenix his first Oscar win as Arthur Fleck, a mentally disturbed man, who transitions into […]
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Almost as ghoulishly fun as the original. The rental video store I used to go to as a kid was called “Hollywood Video,” and when it was closing its doors, it was […]
